Octopus
The Octopus is a cephalopod mollusc of the order Octopoda .
- Feeding: The Octopus has a hard beak, with its mouth at the center point of the arms. They eat Crabs, polychaete worms, fish, and other mollusks such as Whelks and Clams.
- Life Expectancy: Octopus have a relatively short life expectancy, with some for as little as six months. Large species may live for up to five years under suitable circumstances.
- Habitat: Most Octopus live in temperate oceans waters. They prefer the ocean floor as their home, nesting in the cracks, crevices, and rocks that line the ocean floor.
Octopus' Respiratory
- The Octopus breathes by drawing water into the cavity of the mantle. The water then provides oxygen for the gills.
- Water is pushed out of the body by the siphon.
